Terre Armée offers engineered solutions for the construction of embankments over subsidence using geosythetic reinforcements.

Subsidence typically results from the sudden collapse of a subterranean cavity. These cavities can be the result natural processes such as erosion in karst areas or human intervention such as mining shafts or groundwater exploitation. The abrupt collapse underneath an embankment can cause can be anticipated and controlled thanks to engineered solutions and the inclusion of high-strength geosynthetic reinforcement with low strain. Terre Armée’s combination of engineering expertise and high quality geosynthetic reinforcements allows for the construction of safe and durable structures, significantly reducing the impact of sudden collapses, providing support to embankments.
